Peak Ski Racing Academy has partnered with the SnowBasin Ski Team, drawing on their high quality resources and best practices. In particular, GORDON PERRY, Director of Ogden Valley Ski Team will work closely with Peak Ski Racing Academy.
Gordon is a former Canadian ski team member and a multiple national Alpine Ski Racing champion. Gordon served as NCAA Alpine Ski Coach at the University of Utah (1990-1994) and under his direction successfully coached: 1993 NCAA Champions, 5 Individual National Champions and 24 All-Americans. Gordon Perry also assisted in building Westminster College’s ski program in Salt Lake City which in just two years, produced 2 national championship teams and 4 individual national champions. Gordon is a USSA Level 300 Alpine Coach and USSA Technical Delegate.
Garrett Workman has 7 years coaching experience mentoring U10-U19 athletes of all ability levels and comes back to PEAK for the second year running. His racing background started in the East coast where his father and grandfather were coaches. He moved out to Utah to play soccer and attend Westminster College in Salt Lake City where he fell in love with powder skiing and the Wasatch mountains. During college he coached and ran Brighton Ski Team. After graduating with a degree in Finance Garrett chose to pursuit his passion for coaching and shaping today's young ski racers.
Ben has been ski coaching with OVST for over 10 years now and has an amazing knack for motivating, inspiring and generating the confidence required to get down a race course.
Skip's love for skiing came from growing up in Boise Idaho and spending his time on the slopes of Bogus Basin. Skip came through the Intermountain racing division moving into the skier X racing arena. Skip spent 8 years working at the elite ski academy Rowmark starting with the junior program and moving in the academy coaching U16's for 5yrs. Skip has a unique ability to connect with 14 and 15yr olds.
